This is the results of a one day workshop in St Patrick’s College, Drumcondra, Dublin in association with the Professional Development Services for Teachers (PDST). I met 16 committed and talented art teachers. We spent the day exploring techniques for colour measurement/mixing using a photo-realism exercise to warm up. We then explored the work and landscapes of David Hockney. Some teachers made still-life paintings of objects they brought. The results speak for themselves. Thank you for taking part.
Here is a mixture of adult/student work created over the years made in a workshop setting. All of these artists have become good friends of mine. The learning in this regard has gone both ways. Keep up the painting it is inspiring!!
